QuakeZones Pro - Earthquakes App Reviews

So far I like it. There have been a few times when the app has closed without warning just after opening. I am a new smartphone user, so it might have been something I did. A tsunami alert would be a great upgrade.

Just will not share with Facebook and crashes every time I try. Can you fix this please? I was hoping to do this for .99c....then it for-surely will get 5 stars. Thank you.

Does not update fast enough. I live in Japan in an area that frequently gets quakes. I want to know the details but have to wait quite a while before it gets posted.

I was using the FREE version and its working great. I decided to upgrade to the PRO version and I found that some of the function is not working! Under "MORE"..E.g. "Automatically Publish updates to Facebook" button is grayed out (not working) "Click the quakeZones Icon to post to your Facebook News Feed" also not working! I hope the developer fix the bug or I want a FULL REFUND!! The FREE version works GREAT! No much different between the FREE and the PRO version.

The push notifications are a perfect addition to quakezones. I was excited to see that they added it to this awesome app, and it works excellently!

You get so much information and data and its only 99c. Its well worth the price. It displays what I want to see well and provides current information.

Great APP for Earthquake information. The maps and the connected data helps to understand where and whats shaken!

This is not very accurate. Im sitting in my house in Southern Cal. feeling it shaking - from the many aftershocks from Easter Sundays "Big One", and the app isnt picking them up. Nor does it even recognize/report up to a hour later ... Sorry, Im going shopping for a different app.

Not accurate reaallllyy slow app I want my dollar back and Im deleting this app right now no push notifications and its really slow dont buy

Awesome app! Shows earthquakes *hours before they occur*!! Now that is impressive. (Why cant I / How can I set it to my time zone??)

Why this app is the best earthquake app out there right now: 1. It is well designed and easy to use. (Click as many buttons as you can to get a good feel for the app) 2. It has historical data, up to 30 years worth! 3. It has a map AND a sortable list view 4. It has search, with autocompletion built-in!!! 5. You can adjust setting to see as many or as few earthquakes, by magnitude range. Cool! 6. You get a bunch of facts and can even watch videos. This is definitely worth $.99 or more. Very glad I grabbed this now vs later. Update: It now has push notifications and numerous bug fixes. Definitely 5 stars!

Very slow on updates and has problems. If they fix the problems it could be good product.

I have been through 2 big earthquakes and their system gets Jammed. It has never sent me notifications. I have two free earthquakes apps that work much better than this app. If you live in earthquake country and need a dependable app dont choose this one.

What a lousy app! Need to be able to handle the load when a earthquake hits. Or else it will just loads and loads and give out an error. Other program has no problem only this. Final verdict DO NOT BUY!!!

Great earthquake app. Probably worth $5 with push notification and decades of earthquake events worldwide. Id give it 6 Stars if I could!

07/08: I noticed a couple of negative reviews below and am updating my comments. Whenever Ive experienced any slowness with this app it seems to be because Im on a busy cellular network (AT&T in LA rush hour rather than my Wi-Fi at home). The app can handle a lot of data, and the quality of the network connection does seem to make a difference. 05/15: I absolutely love this app because it shows all of the earthquake aftershocks too. Very simple push notification may not be for everyone, but it works great for me.

It jammed on the July 5.4 quake in Southern Cali. Now the filters are fd up it doesnt report properly at all any more.

I really like this app! The recent 5.4 quake had a bunch of small aftershocks and you can see them... theyre still happening all the time. I used to use another earthquake app but all the data disappears after a week or so. This one shows data going back for years.

After downloading the latest update for os 4, on an iPhone 3GS with os 4 software, this app no longer loads. When it does work, it is convenient for checking the latest activity as well as history for that area. However, it will not directly link to the USGS site as in some other apps, and the data load is slow. Overall, Qzones Pro is okay when it does load, though it is a waste now that it wont open. Save your $1 for an app that works!!!

Ive tried 3 other competing earthquake apps and this one is the best. For the simple reason that you can select any time period and magnitude range you want. Its not perfect yet- there are a couple minor issues that could be improved. But the developers are very responsive (more so than any Ive come across) and Im sure they will be addressed. Overall a powerful and well-designed app.
